Creative director, founder, and janitor, Steve Allen considers himself a curious soul with a creative bent, living in the gallery of the Great Creator. Ever sensitive to the design of things around and within him, he seeks to apply what he learns for the benefit of others and the Glory of God. A work in progress to be sure, and learning everyday from successes and failures, he sees life as an expanding adventure with with real risks and real rewards.

 

As a preschooler he had an attraction to pencils and crayons that never quite faded. He won multiple sets of oil pastels in art contests as a child, pursued graphic design at PBJC (now Palm Beach State College), and graduated with a BFA in Visual Communications from Florida State University.

 

Steve's career before founding Allen Creative included positions in two graphic design studios, three advertising agencies, and one corporate art department (Hallmark Cards) where he worked as a lettering artist. He has been blessed to work side-by-side with a wide variety of talented creatives over the years and has learned much from their example. Additionally, he currently works in a creative capacity with the Grace Fellowship network of churches in North Georgia.

 

Raised on parables, Steve has a orientation toward conceptual approaches to communication and is a stickler for quality in the execution of an idea. His love for simplicity on the other side of complexity has led to an emphasis on identity design in the overall scope of his work.
